In February 2021, the public organization Vy.Mova launched its flagship initiative — the Goncharenko Centre, a network of educational and cultural spaces in 10 cities across Ukraine. The first centres opened in Podilsk, Balta, Myrhorod, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Zhmerynka, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kropyvnytskyi, and Lyman.
Goncharenko Centres are free educational and cultural hubs aimed at developing high-quality accessible education and ensuring that Ukrainians have unrestricted opportunities to study foreign languages and other subjects. The centres operate thanks to the support of patrons, private businesses, local partners, and contributions from engaged citizens.
The project’s mission is to break stereotypes about free education and to provide Ukrainians with barrier-free access to learning both offline and online.
As of November 2025, the Goncharenko Centre network by Vy.Mova includes 44 active spaces across the regions of Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv — as well as an online hub.
Over more than four years of work, the network has provided free learning opportunities to more than 100,000 participants and has reached an audience of more than 1,500,000 Ukrainians nationwide.
Key educational courses include Ukrainian language, foreign languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Georgian, Chinese, Polish, Bulgarian, and more), as well as financial literacy, digital security, traffic rules, and other essential skills.
Our partners, supporters, and donors include Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the European Union, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the University of Pennsylvania, Cisco Networking Academy, Shih Chien University, the National Open University of Taiwan, Lord Ashcroft, and many others.
